JINAN, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and two others injured on Monday in a road accident in Juancheng County, east China's Shandong Province, local public security bureau said.

The accident happened around 2:13 p.m. when a car collided with an electric bicycle running a red light and then hit two tricycles on the roadside. The car driver was controlled by police and ruled out for drunk or drug-impaired driving.

The two injured, including the car driver, have been hospitalized and are in non-life-threatening conditions.

Further investigation is underway.  ■
