BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- An international exhibition on police equipment will be held in Beijing from Wednesday to Saturday, featuring cutting-edge technologies and advanced equipment in fields such as next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, and new materials.
The 12th China International Exhibition on Police Equipment will, for the first time, feature a dedicated zone for intelligent unmanned equipment, showcasing equipment for law enforcement across air, land, water, and underwater environments, according to a Ministry of Public Security (MPS) press conference.
It will also feature a new section for equipment built on a domestically developed and controlled HarmonyOS platform for police use.
Yan Fei, an official with the ministry, said that in the context of rapid technological innovation and increasingly diverse demands for social governance, advanced police technologies and equipment have boosted police capabilities and the modernization of public security work.
"Public security authorities will fully leverage the role of the exhibition as a bridge to promote connections between police forces and enterprises, deepen exchanges, and make the exhibition an effective channel for embracing technological advancements, introducing cutting-edge equipment, and enhancing new combat capabilities," Yan said.
Hosted by the MPS, this year's exhibition has attracted participation of domestic enterprises and 30 overseas enterprises from 11 countries, including the United States and Canada. ■
